Last month, while surfing the web, looking for a theme to get a few ideas for my next project, I stumbled upon Grid Focus theme for WordPress, which I knew of earlier. I found out about Pink October WordPress theme which is created for Pink for October; an initiative started by Matthew Oliphant, which asks that any sites willing to help make people aware of breast cancer, change their template or layout to include the color pink, so that when visitors view the site, they see that the majority of the site is pink. Then after reading a short amount of information about breast cancer, or being redirected to another site, they are aware of the disease itself.
In the month of October, breast cancer is recognized by survivors, family and friends of survivors and/or victims of the disease. A pink ribbon is worn to recognize the struggle that sufferers face when battling the cancer.

I thought about contributing an icon, which you can use as a badge to link to the Pink for October site. It took me about 15 minutes to complete this whole project, about 5 minutes searching for the ribbon icon which I used, downloaded from Wikipedia.
These glossy Pink Ribbon Icons are created from scratch using Photoshop. The zipped pack contains 256×256, 128×128, 48×48, 32×32 and 16×16 (approx. dimensions) PNG images, which you can use for free, on your sites, blogs, projects etc. provided you stick to the terms of use displayed below and within the pack.
License:
- You are not allowed to, under any means, sell the pack, and any of its contents.
- You may use the icons for personal and/or commercial purposes.
- The icon logos/design/colors etc. are property of their respective owners.

These are beautiful designs! I was recently contacted by a woman who is supporting the Komen Breast Cancer walk, and we were discussing a printed label to add to our candles to commemorate the event. Not only do we love your design, but your “creative commons” type approach in terms of licensing your design is fantastic. Do you have any higher resolution versions available to purchase or license (for example a 600 dpi print at 2″ )? Thank you very much.
